counties by proclamation of the Governor.

Name: Named for Cecilius Calvert, Second Lord
Baltimore and founder of the colony of Mary-
land.

27 By Chapter 739, Acts of 1978 the Sanitary Commission be-
came pan of the Department of Public Works. Its name was
changed to the Advisory Council to the Water-Wastewatcr Di-
vision, which has since become the Bureau of Utilties. Since
July 1981, its functions were assumed by the Bureau of Utilities.
