CHARLES S. BLUMENTHAL, Democrat, District 27. Born in New York, N.Y.,
January 21, 1924. Attended New York City public schools; New York University;
M.I.T., certificate in civil engineering, 1947. Construction management. Served with
U.S. Army during World War II. Project director and contract administrator for
construction of many public buildings in Washington, D.C., Detroit, Michigan, Pa-
ducah, Kentucky, and New York. Recipient of many awards, including "Veteran
Legislator of the Year" from the Joint Veterans Committee, and awards from V.F.
W., American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Fraternal Order of Police, John
Hanson Society, the Lions, and the Kiwanis. Married to the former Rosa Lee
Walters. Member of the House of Delegates since 1971. District office: 6192 Oxon
