President of Mayor and Council of Federalsburg. Past director,
Poultry and Egg National Board; National Broiler Council. Past

Legion; Masons; Shrine; Veterans of Foreign Wars. Recipient of
University of Maryland Certificate of Merit in Agriculture, 1959.

HATTIE N. HARRISON. Democrat, District 45; born in Lancaster,
South Carolina, February II, 1928. Attended Charlotte, North
Carolina and Baltimore City public schools. Former member,
Baltimore City Democratic State Central Committee; Commis-
sion on Women, School teacher. Member, Women's Advisory
Committee United Fund Board of Directors; Eastside Democratic
Organization; Maryland Association for Mental Health; Mary-
land 4-C Committee on Day Care; Citizens for Fair Housing;
League of Women Voters; N.A.A.C.P.; Y.W.C.A.; East Baltimore
Women's League; National Laboratory for the Advancement of
Education. Received numerous service awards. Married. Ap-
pointed to the House of Delegates, August 2, 1973, vice James
A. Scott, Jr., deceased.
GEORGE E. HEFFNER. Democrat, District 9; born in Baltimore
County, March 18, 1923. Attended Baltimore County parochial
schools. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Former
Trial Magistrate, Baltimore County; Chief License Inspector,
Baltimore County. Member, 11-14th Democratic Club; 6th Dis-
trict Democratic Club; Greater Rosedale Democratic Club;
Middle River Democratic Club; Perry Hall Optimist Club; Rose-

WILLIAM J. HELMS. JR., Democrat, District 31; born in Balti-
more, September 3, 1929. Attended Baltimore parochial schools;

Air Force. Insurance agent. Member, Anne Arundel County
Board of Zoning Appeals. Member, Elks, Knights of Columbus.
