LAURENCE LEVITAN. Democrat, District 15; born in Washing-
ton, D.C., October 22, 1933. Attended Washington, D.C. public
schools; Washington and Lee University, B.S., 1955; George
Washington University Law School, J.D., 1958. Admitted to the
Maryland Bar, 1964. Member, Montgomery County Financial
Advisory Committee since 1968. Member, Young Democratic
Club; Western Suburban Democratic Club; Maryland, Mont-
gomery County, and District of Columbia Bar Associations. Vice
president and member of board of directors, Regency Estates
Swim Club, 1965-68. Treasurer and member of board of direc-
tors, Regency Estates Citizens Association, 1964-66. Past chair-
man, and member, board of directors Montgomery County Heart
Association. Married. Member of the House of Delegates, 1971-
75. Member of the Senate since 1975.
ALFRED J. LIPIN, Democrat, District 32; born in Pasadena,
March 16, 1920. Attended Anne Arundel County public schools;
University of Baltimore. Businessman and real estate agent. Served
with the U S Army during World War II. Awarded Silver Star.
Member, Anne Arundel County Zoning Appeals Board, 1956-57.

FREDERICK C. MALKUS. JR.. Democrat, District 35; born in
Baltimore, July 1, 1913. Attended Dorchester County public
schools; Western Maryland College, A.B., 1934; University of
Maryland School of Law, LL.B., 1938. Served with U.S. Army
during World War II. Trustee, Western Maryland College.
Married. Member of House of Delegates, 1947-51. Member of
the Senate since 1951. Chairman of the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings, 1955-66. Member of Legislative Council now Legis-
lative Policy Committee since 1955. President Pro-Tem since
