Three members must have paid work experience in audiology for at least five years, hold the certificate of clinical competence in audiology of the American Speech and Hearing Association or the equivalent and be approved by the Maryland Speech and Hearing Association. One member must have paid work experience in speech pathology for at least five years, hold the certificate of clinical competence in Speech Pathology of the American Speech and Hearing Association or the equivalent and be approved by the Maryland Speech and Hearing Association. One member must be a person licensed to practice medi- cine in this State and hold a certificate of qualification from the Amer- ican Board of Otolaryngology. The Board evaluates the qualifications of Audiologists in this State and issues licenses to those who fulfill the requirements. The licenses are renewed annually (Code 1957, 1971 Repl. The State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathologists, created by Chapter 547, Acts of 1972, consists of five members appointed by the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene for five-year terms, one term expiring each year.
