Lexington Street, Baltimore 21201 Telephone: 539-4282 The Board of Podiatry Examiners, originally created by Chapter 173, Acts of 1916, received its present name by Chapter 416, Acts of 1965. The Board consists of four members appointed by the Board of Medical Examiners for four-year terms. One must be a member of the Board of Medical Examiners and the other three must be selected from the membership of the Maryland Podiatry Association. The Board ex- amines all persons who wish to practice podiatry in the State. Appli- cants must have at least two years of education in a recognized college of arts and sciences and be graduates of a college of podiatric medi- cine, recognized by the American Podiatry Association. The examina- tions, which may be written, oral, or practical, are given twice yearly. The Board also issues annual licenses to all podiatrists engaged in ac- tive practice within the State. The Board may revoke the license of any podiatrist, after a hearing, who is charged with malpractice or un- theical conduct (Code 1957, 1971 Repl. Vol., Art. 43, sees. 481-98).
