Appointments are made from lists of qualified persons submitted to the Governor and the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene by the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland. The Board examines, licenses, and registers physical therapists who wish to practice in Maryland (Code 1957, 1971 Repl. Vol., Art. 43, sees. 604-14). This Board consists of five members appointed by the Gtovernor upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene, from a list of nominees presented by the Maryland Psychological Association, Inc. (Code 1957, 1971 Repl. Vol., Art. 43, sees. 618-44). Members of the Board serve three-year terms. The Board evaluates the qualifications of psychologists in the State and issues certificates to those who fulfill the requirements. The certificates must be renewed annually. The Board administers exam- inations to qualified applicants for certification at least once each year. Each year, the Board publishes a complete roster of certified psychologists in the State. Three members are appointed from a list submitted by the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland, one from a list submitted by the Maryland Pharmaceutical Association, four from a list submitted by the Hospital Council of Maryland, Inc., and one member must be an owner or administrator of a licensed nursing home appointed from a list submitted by the Maryland Nursing Home Association, Inc.
