GOVERNOR'S YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL Sigmund S. The Governor's Youth Advisory Council is charged with communi- cating to the Governor, the Legislature and the citizenry of the State, the concerns of Maryland youth on matters involving State programs, policies and legislation which affect the young people of the State. The Delegates to the Council comprise one-hundred and fifteen members between the ages of thirteen and twenty-two, all chosen from diverse backgrounds. One hundred were chosen at random by utilizing a formula which insures equitable distribution by age, race, sex and geography. Fifteen were selected by direct appointment of the Governor.
