646 MARYLAND MANUAL [Art. 11-C and objects contemplated by the provisions of this Article, provided such additional power or authority is not incon- sistent with the terms and provisions of this Article or with any other provision or provisions of the Constitution of Maryland. The General Assembly may place such other and further restrictions or limitations on the exercise of any of the powers which it may grant to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore under the provisions of this Article as it may deem proper and expedient. 1 SEC. 3. The Baltimore Redevelopment Commission may continue in existence and shall have and may continue to exercise any of the power and authority which is now or hereafter may be vested in the Commission by law, until such time as such power and authority of the Commission is validly repealed by an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland or by an ordinance or resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and a new agency of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is created to carry out the objects and purposes for which the Baltimore Re- development Commission was originally created; and noth- ing contained in this Article shall be taken or construed to the contrary. "ARTICLE XI-C OFF-STREET PARKING SECTION 1. The General Assembly of Maryland, by pub- lic local law, may authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore: (a) Within the City of Baltimore to acquire land and property of every kind, and any right, interest, franchise, easement or privilege therein, by purchase, lease, gift, con- demnation or any other legal means, for storing, parking and servicing self-propelled vehicles, provided, that no petroleum products shall be sold or offered for sale at any entrance to or exit from, any land so acquired or at any entrance to, or exit from, any structure erected thereon. when any entrance to, or exit from, any such land or struc- ture faces on a street or highway which is more than 25 feet wide from curb to curb; and (b) To sell, lease, convey, transfer or otherwise dis- pose of any of said land or property, regardless of whether or not it has been developed, redeveloped, altered, or im- ' Added by Chapter 162, Acts of 1947, ratified November 2, 194,8. » Added by Chapter 505, Acts of 1947. ratified November 2, 1948. |
