In all other counties, members of the House of Delegates are elected at large. p. 314 and p. 333 At press time, John A. Whitney, member of the House of Delegates from the First District of Montgomery county, anticipated submitting his resignation. To replace him, the Montgomery county Republican State Central committee submitted the name of Harry W. Lerch. Delegate Whitney, however, set no date for his resignation to become effective. consequently, no date for the appointment of Delegate-desig- nate Lerch can be set.
