County, August 15, 1916. Attended Calvert County public schools;
Ottmar Mergenthaler School of Printing, Baltimore; special courses
at Strayer's Business College and Polytechnic. Owner and editor of
weekly newspaper. Chairman, Board of Trustees, Calvert County Hos-
pital. Member, Volunteer Fire Department; Chamber of Commerce;
