Charles Street, Baltimore 21201 Telephone: 539-1700 The State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, established by Chapter 273, Acts of 1894, is composed of five members appointed by the Governor for five-year terms. Each member must be a licensed veterinarian engaged in active practice. The Board passes upon the qualifications of candidates for licenses to practice veterinary medicine in the State and examines such persons. It may conduct hearings and pass upon complaints of illegal or unethical practices and may insti- tute proceedings in the courts against those engaged in illegal practice (Code 1957, 1965 Repl.
