Free Library. Vice Chairman, Maryland Commission on Children and
Youth. Secretary, Hagerstown-Washington County Industrial Founda-
tion. Member, Board of Directors, Community Research Associates.

PRESTON L. HALE, Democrat, Carroll County; born in Carroll
County, October 15, 1910. Attended Baltimore and Carroll County
public schools. Insurance and real estate agent. Member, Carroll
County Board of Election Supervisors, 1951-54. Member, Masons. Past
president, Hampstead Lions Club. Married. Member of the House of

JOHN W. HARDWICKE, Republican, Harford County; born in
Winston-Salem, N. C., April 10, 1927. Attended Winston-Salem public
schools; University of North Carolina, A.B., 1950; George Washington
University School of Law, LL.B,, 1953. Admitted to the Maryland
Bar, 1953. Lecturer in law, Mt. Vernon School of Law, 1955-60.
Instructor in law, The Johns Hopkins University since 1955. Member,
American, Maryland, Baltimore, and Junior Bar Associations; Balti-
more Bar Library; Baltimore Association of Commerce. President,
Mental Health Association of Harford County. Member, The Johns

FRANK H. HARRIS, Democrat, Cecil County; born in Cecil County,
November 30, 1919. Attended North East public schools. Locomotive
engineer. Member, Cecil County Democratic State Central Committee,
1954-58; chairman, 1956-58. Member, Young Democratic Club of Cecil
County; Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers; Masons; Lions; Cecil
County Hunters' Association. Married. Member of the House of Dele-
gates since 1959.
WILLIAM RANDOLPH HARRISON, Democrat, Talbot County;
born in Tilghman, September 13, 1903. Attended Talbot County public
schools; Sadlers-Bryant-Stratton Business College. Seafood dealer,
hotel and fishing fleet operator. Past president, Chesapeake Bay
Fishing Fair Association. Member, Elks; Lions; Miles River Yacht
Club. Married. Member of the House of Delegates since 1955. Chair-
man, Alcoholic Beverages Committee, 1955-58 Sessions. Chairman,
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries Committee, 1959-63 Sessions.
