in 1916. It provides for the unification and coordination of related
agricultural and horticultural societies throughout the State. The
funds appropriated are for the publication of the Society's annual
transactions. Appropriations: 1957, $2,500; 1958, $2,500.

MARYLAND ACADEMY OF SCIENCE, 400 Cathedral Street, Balti-
more. The Academy was established for the purpose of promoting
an interest in science and the dissemination of scientific information.

MARYLAND STATE FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION. The funds ap-
propriated are the State's share of the pension fund for disabled firemen
or for widows and children of deceased firemen (Acts 1935, ch. 260).
