in Laurel, October 5, 1922. Attended St. Mildred's Academy, Laurel.
Realtor. Member, Laurel City Council, 1952-54. Former director
and secretary, Laurel Chamber of Commerce; former director. Prince
George's County Hospital. Member, National Association of Realtors;
Maryland Real Estate Board; Prince George's County Real Estate
Board; Baltimore City Real Estate Board. Past president, Laurel
Kiwanis Club. Married. Elected to the House of Delegates in 1954.

JOHN J. NOWAKOWSKI, Democrat, Baltimore 1st; born in Bal-
timore, June 5, 1900. Attended Baltimore public and parochial
schools; University of Maryland. Member of the Maryland Bar.

cil, 1948-50. Member, Board of Maryland Federation of Women's
Clubs; Kappa Alpha Theta; Inner Wheel. Married. Elected to the
House of Delegates in 1950.

WILLIAM G. PORTER, JR., Republican, Washington County;
born in Hagerstown, July 10, 1922. Attended Washington County
public schools; University of Maryland, B.S. 1949. Wholesale tobacco
Jobber. Served in the U. S. Air Force, 1943-46. Member, Elks; Amer-
ican Legion: V.F.W.; Forty and Eight. Unmarried. Appointed to
the House of Delegates in 1955.

EGBERT LYLE QUINN, Democrat, Somerset County; born in
Pocomoke City, Worcester County, January 8, 1885. Attended Cris-
field, Somerset County, public schools. Journalist. Member, City Coun-
cil. Crisfield. 1940-48; Mayor of Crisfield, 1948-54. Member, Masons;
Elks. Married. Appointed to the House of Delegates, March 28, 1957.
