The Department of Game and Inland Fish is associated with the
Board of Natural Resources. The present Department, established in
1943, superseded the Game and Inland Fish Commission and the game
and inland fish functions of the Conservation Department. The
Department of Game and Inland Fish is under the direction of a non-
salaried commission of five members appointed by the Governor from
the several geographical regions of the State. The term of each
member is five years, one term expiring each year. The Commission
elects a chairman and a vice-chairman from its membership, and
appoints the Director of the Department. The Commission has the
power to promulgate such rules and regulations as it deems necessary
