EDWARD HOMER WHITE, JR., Democrat, Wicomico County; born at
Salisbury, April 6, 1911. Attended public schools in Salisbury, and
William and Mary College. Merchant. Served as 1st Sergeant, 722nd
M.P. Battalion, in the European Theatre during World War II. Mem-
ber of Legislative Council. Married. Elected to the House of
Delegates in 1946.
HORACE P. WHITWORTH, JR., Republican, Allegany County; born
at Westernport, November 9, 1912. Attended the public schools of
Westernport; Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, Pennsylvania;
Princeton University, and the Law School of the University of Mary-
land, graduating in 1986. Attorney. Served as Communications
Officer aboard the U.S.S. Tutuila, with rank of Lieutenant, 1943-1946.
Married. Elected to the House of Delegates in 1946.
PERRY O. WILKINSON, Democrat, Prince George's County; born at
Hebron, March 21, 1905. Attended the public schools of Wicomico
County and the University of Maryland, B.A. 1928 and M.A. 1936.
Insurance and bond business. Former high school teacher and athletic
coach in the public schools of Maryland. Married. Elected Speaker
pro tern of the House 1948 Special Session and the Regular Sessions
of 1949, 1961, 1952 and 1953. Elected to the House of Delegates
in 1942.
