JOHN F. LILLARD, JR., Republican, Prince George's County; born in
Prince George's County, May 28, 1911. Attended elementary school
in Hyattsville, Augusta Military Academy, the University of Vir-
ginia. Attorney. Member of the Maryland and District of Columbia
Bars and the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. Served
in the U. S. Army Air Force 1942-1946. Married. Elected to the
House of Delegates in 1950.

JOHN WOOD LOGAN*, Democrat, Caroline County; born in Rockport,
Mass., 1911. Canner and farmer. Veteran of World War II. Married.
Elected to the House of Delegates in 1950. Majority Leader 1953.

CARROLL LOWE, Democrat, Talbot County; born at McDaniel, June
14, 1892. Educated at St. Michaels High School and the University
of Maryland. Farmer. Served during World War I as First Lieu-
tenant in the 48th and 89th Infantry Regiments and in Organized
Reserves until 1934. Former member of Democratic State Central
Committee; former President of Talbot County Farm Bureau. Mem-
ber Legislative Council. Unmarried. Elected to the House of
Delegates in 1946.

JOHN C. LUBER, Speaker, Democrat, Baltimore 5th; born in Balti-
more, November 22, 1903. Attended parochial schools in Baltimore
and special courses in accounting at University of Baltimore.
Accountant, employed by the B. & O. Railroad. Member, National
Railroad Pension Forum, B & 0 Accounting Association and Moose.
Married. Elected to the House of Delegates in 1938. Chairman,
Committee Railroads and Canals, 1939; member of the Ways and
Means Committee, 1939-1945; Chairman 1945; member of committee
on Organization, 1939; Inspections. 1939, 1943, 1945; Printed Bills
and Resolutions, 1941, 1943, 'Chairman 1941; Committee on Art. 3
Sec. 24 of the Constitution, 1943, 1945; Chairman Committee on
Banking, Insurance and Loans, 1947-1950; Chairman Baltimore City
Delegation, 1941, 1943. Majority Leader 1945; Elected Speaker 1951,
1952,1953.

FREDERICK W. LUCAS, Democrat, Dorchester County; born in Vine-
land, N. J., January 19, 1903. Attended public school in Philadelphia.
Merchant, Chairman, Dorchester County Commission for Youth,
member Chamber of Commerce, Elks and Cambridge Rotary. Member
Legislative Council. Married. Elected to the House of Delegates
in 1950.

JOHN C. MCNULTY, Democrat, Anne Arundel County; born at
Crisfield, May 29, 1896. Educated at the University of Maryland and
St. Charles College, Cape Charles, Virginia, graduating in 1916.
Served in the U. S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, 1917-1919;
and as a Captain, 1942-1945. Former State Service Officer for the
Maryland Veterans Commission. President of Maryland State Fire-
men's Association, 1940. State Commander, American Legion, 1934-
1935. Married. Elected to the House of Delegates in 1946.

*Resigned July 1953 to become a member of the State Tax
