Oldtown Merchants and Manufacturers Association; Mason, Shriner.

ROBERT POWELL CANNON, Democrat, Wicomico County; born in
Salisbury, March 25, 1917. Attended the public schools of Salisbury,
Salisbury State Teachers College, the University of Maryland and
its Law School. Attorney. Member of the Maryland Bar, American
Legion, V.F.W., Elks, Veterans Housing Committee for Wicomico
County, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Moose, Tri-State Sportsmen
Club, East Side Men's Club, Farm Bureau and Civil Air Patrol.
Served in the U. S. Army 1941-1946. Married. Elected to the House
of Delegates in 1950.
MAURICE CARDIN, Democrat, Baltimore 5th; born in Baltimore,
July 19, 1909. Attended the public schools of Baltimore and the
University of Baltimore. Attorney. Member of the Maryland Bar,
American Legion, Knights of Pythias, Masons. Served in the U. S.
Army Signal Corps 1942-1945. Married. Elected to the House of
Delegates in 1950.
L. EDWIN CARR, Democrat, Howard County; born at Guilford, July
5, 1893. He attended public schools in Guilford. Contractor and
builder. He served in the U. S. Army during World War 1. He was
Deputy Sheriff of Howard County 1926-1930; Constable in Howard
County, 1930-1942; Sheriff of Howard County 1942-1946. Married.

H. STANLEY CLARK, Democrat, Anne Arundel County; born in
Anne Arundel County, December 18, 1894. Attended the public
schools of Anne Arundel County and Strayer Business College.

GEORGE E. CODDINGTON, Republican, Garrett County; born at
Oakland, December 25, 1899. He attended the public schools of
Garrett County. Chauffeur for the State Roads Commission. He
served for four years as Sheriff of Garrett County. Married. Elected

NOEL SPEIR COOK, Republican. Allegany County; born at Frostburg,
November 13, 1905. He attended the public schools at Frostburg, the
Frostburg State Teachers College, and the Law School of the Uni-
versity of Maryland, graduating in 1930. Attorney. Member Phi
Kappa Sigma. City Attorney for Lonaconing, Maryland, four years.
