C. FERDINAND SYBERT, Democrat, Howard County; born at Loretta,
Pa., September 16, 1900. Attended parochial schools in Elkridge and
Baltimore; Loyola College, Baltimore, graduating in 1922. Reporter
1922-1926. Graduated from the Law School of the University of
Maryland in 1925 and admitted to the Bar the same year. Served
as Counsel to the Board of County Commissioners of Howard County,
1931-1934 and as State's Attorney for Howard County, 1934-1946.
Served as Appeal Agent Howard County Selective Service Board,
1940-1945. President of the Howard County Bar Association 1945-
1948. Member State Bar Association. President, University of
Maryland Law School Alumni Association, 1952-1953. Member
Elkridge Rotary. Married, three children. Elected to the House of
Delegates in 1946, elected Speaker, 1947, 1949 and 1950. Elected to
the Senate in 1950.
EDWARD TURNER, Democrat, Queen Anne's County; born in Centre-
ville, August 15, 1916. Attended the public schools of Centreville,
Washington College and the Law School of George Washington
University, graduating in 1941. Attorney. Member of the Maryland
Bar, Rotary, American Legion and V. F. W. Served with the U. S.
Navy in the Pacific theatre during World War II, receiving com-
mendations, discharged as Lieutenant in 1946. Member Legislative
Council. Married. Elected to the Senate in 1950.
JOHN GRASON TURNBULL, Democrat, Baltimore County; born at
Towson, January 23, 1909. Attended McDonogh School, The Johns
Hopkins University and the Maryland Law School, graduating in
1932. Admitted to the Bar the same year. Deputy State's Attorney
for Baltimore County, 1939-1943. Member of the House of Delegates,
1943, resigning to enter the Army the same year; inducted as Private,
discharged as Captain, JAG. State's Attorney for Baltimore County,
1947-1948. Married. Appointed to the Senate in 1948.

WILSIE H. ADAMS, Democrat, Baltimore County; born in Baltimore,
January 2, 1909. Attended the public schools of Baltimore and Balti-
more Business College. Owner of a trucking company. Served in the
U. S. Army 1943. Member American Legion, Lions, Moose. Married.
Elected to the House of Delegates in 1950.
