The Board of Correction has full control over the Maryland Peni-
tentiary, the Maryland House of Correction, the Maryland State
Reformatory for Males and the Maryland State Reformatory for
Women. The Chairman of the Board is also Director of the Depart-
ment, and serves for a term of four (4) years beginning on the first
Monday in May next after the inauguration of the Governor. The
terms of the Associate Members are so arranged that the terms of
two expire every two years.
