The service provides for physical restoration and maintenance during
the education and training period. The number who can be reached

vided for case service. The Federal Government takes care of 100
per cent of all operating, administrative and guidance costs as well
as 60 per cent of the funds spent on case services to disabled civilians.
Legislation in 1946 legalizes provision of an adult education pro-
gram by the State and counties. The four-year program for war
production financed from Federal funds which has trained over 200,000
persona for work in industry and agriculture comes to an end in
June 1946. Groups of adults who are interested in continuing their
education may take advantage of classes which may be organized
in the counties with the aid of State and Federal vocational funds
