This Commission shall consist of not more than 15 members to be ap-
pointed by the Governor to serve until June 1, 1945. The Governor shall
designate the Chairman of the Commission and the Commission will then
select its own Vice-Chairman and other officers. The members of the Com-
mission shall include representation from the Maryland General Assembly;
the State Planning Commission; Industry; Labor; Finance and the General
Public.
It shall be selected to represent all sections of the State without regard
to political affiliation, race or creed. The Commission is authorized and
empowered to employ such persons as may be necessary in the performance
of its duties and pay the compensation and incur any necessary expenses
therefor, within the limits of the funds provided for the said Commission.

An Act to create a MARYLAND ROADSIDE COUNCIL to consist of
not more than 16 members appointed by the Governor to serve for two years
from June 1, 1943. All members shall serve without compensation but shall
be allowed any reasonable expense incurred in the performance of their
duties under this Act. The Governor shall designate Chairman and the
Council itself will select a Vice-Chairman and other officers. The members
must be selected so as to represent all sections of the State and shall include
