An Act to propose an amendment to Article IV of the Constitution
of the State of Maryland, adding thereto two new sections, providing
for the establishment of People's Courts; and to provide for the sub-
mission of said amendment to the qualified voters of the State for
adoption or rejection.

At the General Election on November 5, 1940 there were 172,616
votes cast for the adoption of the amendment as against 72,371 for its
rejection.
