MARYLAND MANUAL. 816
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT
(Proposed by Chapter 151 of the Acts of the Extraordinary Session of 1936)
Amendment to Section 39 of Article 3 of the Constitution of the State of Maryland title "Legislative Department," striking out of said Section the requirement that stockholders of banking institutions shall be liable to the amount of their respective holdings in such institutions for all its debts and liabilities upon note, bill or otherwise, commonly known as "bank stockholders double liability," said section as amended to read as follows:
Sec. 39. The books, papers and accounts of all banks shall be open to inspection under such regulations as may be prescribed by law.
