County Seat—Princess Anne.
Origin of Name—After Mary Somerset, sister of Cecilius Lord Bal-
timore.

Date of Formation—1666. Area—334.89 square miles.

Court Terms—Jury, second Monday in April and fourth Monday in
September. Non-jury, second Monday in January and July.
Orphans’ Court Days—Every Tuesday in every month.
