STATE BOARD OF BARBER EXAMINERS.

Governor appoints three for two years from appointment, one master
barber and two journeyman barbers. (Ch. 226, 1904.)

The duties of the Barber Examiners are to examine and license all
barbers who have come into the State and all apprentices who have
served their three-year term since May 1, 1904, and to see that the
barber shops that have started in business since the above date should
be run according to sanitary rules as laid down by the Board and ap-
proved by the Board of Health. Board meetings on Mondays from
2 to 5 P.M.

The Governor appoints the board, one member each year for a term
of three years. No two members shall be graduates of the same college.

The basic duty of the Board as provided by the Chiropractic Act of
this State is to regulate the practice of Chiropractic in Maryland and
test the qualifications of applicants by examination.

Two examinations are held, January and July each year in Anatomy
and Histology, Physiology, Symptomatology and Pathology, Orthopedy,
Adjusting, Chiropractic Principles, Nerve Tracing, Chemistry, Hygiene,
Bacteriology, Physical Diagnosis and .Roentgenology.

The Act requires applicants to be graduated from a first grade four
year high school or the equivalent and to be graduates of a recognized
Chiropractic College teaching a resident course of three years of six
months each or more comprising at least 2000.60 minute hours of
instruction.
