APPRENTICES.
29. All persona to whom free negroes are bound as apprentices
in Worcester county, may, under an order of the Orphans' Court
of said county authorizing them to do so, hire out said appren-
tices.
30; The Orphans' Court shall not authorize the hiring of an
apprentice for a shorter period than one year, unless the time of
service of such apprentice will expire in less time, nor for the
prosecution of any other trade or occupation than that to which
he was first bound.
81. They shall, if in their judgment the interest of the appren-
tice requires it, either on account of improper treatment, or failure
or neglect on the part of the hirer to give proper instruction to
auch apprentice in his trade or occupation, order the hirer to
return said apprentice to his master, and may order such sum to
be paid by the master to the hirer, as they may think just.
OlROIHT COTJBT.
32 There shall be four terms of the Circuit Court for Worcester
county in each year, held at Snow Hill in said county, commenc-
ing on the third Monday in each of the months of January, May,
July and October.
33. The sheriff of said county shall summon and return to the
spring and fall terms of said court a panel of persons qualified by
law to serve as jurors.
34. The judge of said court shall have power to pass all such
rules as shall be necessary to facilitate the transaction of busi-
ness in said court; Provided, such rules shall provide for the
transaction of equity business, and the said court for equity
business shall be considered to be always open.
COUNTY OOMMISSIONEBS.
86. The county commiBflioners of said county shall each be
entitled to receive two dollars and fifty cents per day for each
day he shall necessarily attend to the duties of his office, and
six and a quarter cents for every mile he may have to travel to
the place of meeting; but no commissioner shall be allowed
