COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
44. The county commissionerB for Frederick county shall be
entitled to two dollars a day, for each day they shall be engaged
in the discharge of their duties, and each commissioner who
shall reside more than five miles from the place of holding their
meetings, shall also be entitled to twelve and a half cents a mile
for every mile exceeding the first five miles that his place of re-
sidence may be distant from the place of meeting, to be allowed
for going to said place of meeting.
45. The county commissioners shall advertise for proposals to
do their necessary printing, and if a majority of the publishers
of newspapers shall agree to publish at one-half of the usual
prices, they shall publish in all such papers; but they shall not
publish in more than two papers-one of each political party-

CRIER.
46. The collector of Frederick county shall pay to the crier
of the Circuit Court for said county, on presentation of his
account, certified by the clerk of said county, the amount which
may be due to him for his attendance upon said court, imme-
diately after its adjournment.
47. The county commissioners of Frederick county shall
annually levy upon said county such sums of money as in
their judgment may be necessary for the said payment.
DOOR-KEEPER, &c.
48. The keepers of the gates or doors within the bar of the
court-house in Frederick county, and the person who warms
the court-room and has charge of the fires in the Circuit Court,
shall each be entitled to the sum of one dollar and fifty cents
per day, for their services; and upon a certificate from the clerk
of the Circuit Court for said county, of the number of days that
each of them attended, the collector of taxes for aaid county
shall pay the amount thereof, in the same manner as jurors are
paid.
