35. The bonds executed by the treasurer and overseer or keeper
of the alms-house, shall be filed and recorded in the office of the
clerk of the Circuit Court for Frederick county.
STATE'S ATTORNEY.
36. In all criminal cases removed from any Circuit Court to
the Circuit Court of Frederick county, and tried, the county
commissioners for Frederick county may allow to the State's
Attorney for said county, in addition to the sum allowed by law,
such compensation, not exceeding the sum of thirty dollars for
any one case, as they may deem just and proper, to be levied by
the county commissioners of the county from which the cause
was removed, at their next annual levy.
BAILIFF.
37. The bailiffs appointed by the sheriff of Frederick county
shall severally be entitled to the sum of one dollar and fifty cents
a day for their services as bailiffs to the Circuit Court; and upon
a certificate from the clerk of said court of the number of days
that each of them attended, being presented to the collector of
taxes for said county, he shall pay the same.
BULLET PLAYING.
38. If any person shall be found playing at bullets in the
streets of Middletown, in Frederick county, he shall be liable to
presentment or indictment therefor in the Circuit Court for said
county, and on conviction shall be fined in the discretion of the
court, not exceeding twenty dollars.
89. Any person who shall be found playing at long bullets in
Creagerstown, in Frederick county, or within half a mile of said
town, shall forfeit a sum not exceeding five dollars, to be reco-
vered in the name of the'State, before a justice of the peace of
tho county, one-half to the informer, and the other half to the
county.
CIRCUIT COURT.
40. The Circuit Court for Frederick county shall hold two
'9 terms, for both common law and equity proceedings, commencing
on the third Monday of October and the second Monday of Feb-
