482 CHARLES COUNTY. [ART. 9.

43. No person shall distrain any horse, hog or other beast
damage feasant upon any waste or unenclosed land in Charles
county.

FISH.

44. No person shall erect any fish dam or other obstruction
in or across Allen's Fresh Run above the bridge at Allen's Fresh,
in Charles county, which shall in any manner endanger the
security and safety of the bridge; and any person so doing shall
forfeit and pay for every such offence the sum of twenty dollars,
to be recovered before any justice of the peace of the county,
one-half to the informer and the other half to the State.

HUCKSTERS.

45. No person except residents of Charles county shall pur-
chase for sale any hogs or poultry of any description within the
limits of Charles county, without first obtaining a license from
the clerk of the Circuit Court for said county.

46. Each person for each license mentioned in the preceding
section, shall pay to the clerk the sum of fifty dollars, and the
clerk shall account for and pay over the same to the Treasurer
of the State at the same time and in the same manner as other
money received by him for the use of the State.

47. Any person convicted of a violation of the provisions of
section 45 of this article in the Circuit Court for Charles county,
shall be fined one hundred dollars, one-half to the use of the
State, the other half to the use of the person who shall pro-
secute the same with effect.

JCBOBS.

48. The county commissioners for Charles county shall levy
annually, one year in advance, such sum of money as they may
deem sufficient to discharge all claims which may accrue for the
attendance of jurors for the two next succeeding terms of the
Circuit Court.

49. A certificate signed by the clerk of the Circuit Court,
expressing the number of days any juror may have attended
and the sum due him for such attendance, shall be a sufficient
authority to the collector to pay the amount therein specified.
