128 BALTIMORE COUNTY. [ART. 3.

SHERIFF.

193. The sheriff of said county shall be allowed 'two dollars a,
day for each day he shall attend the Circuit Court for said county
in person or by deputy.

STATE'S ATTORNEY.

194. In all criminal cases which may be removed from the
Criminal Court of Baltimore to the Circuit Court for Baltimore
county and tried, it may be lawful for the judge of said Circuit
Court to allow to the State's Attorney for Baltimore county, in
addition to the sum allowed by law, such compensation, not
exceeding the sum of thirty dollars for any one case, as the said
judge may deem just and proper, to be levied and collected from.
the city of Baltimore.

TRESPASS.

195. All claims for damages for trespass done by stock, shall
be made within ten days after such trespass shall have been
made.

196. TTpon complaint being made to any justice of the peace
for trespass committed by horses, sheep, or any other kind of
stock, be shall forthwith summon two well qualified and disin-
terested persons to examine into the extent of damages done,
and value or assess the same, to the best of their judgments,
and if it shall be found that the fence or fences of the com-
plainant are of ordinary good height and structure, the party
so injured shall or may proceed to recover the damages as
awarded in the mode and manner as at present prescribed
by law.

197. The persons so acting shall be required to make oath,
and if upon close examination the fence or fences of the person
so complaining shall be found imperfect in height or structure,
and, in the general, such as cannot bo considered an ordinary
good fence, the party aggrieved shall not be able to recover
damages.

WILT) FOWL.

198. If any person shall use any sink-boat^ sneak-boats, or
floats, in any of the waters of Back River, Middle River, Dun-
dee, Salt Petre, Seneca Creek, and their tributary streams in
