440 MILITIA. [AET. 63.

95. Any officer, non-commissioned officer, musician or private
of the militia, who shall be disabled while in the service of this
State, shall, as a remuneration for the injury that he may have
received, be entitled to half pay.

96. The Governor, by and with the consent of the Senate, for
the accommodation and support of the militia at any time called
into actual service, may appoint such commissaries and staff
officers as may seem proper, and shall have power to adopt such
measures as may be deemed necessary for procuring, transport-
ing and issuing all requisite supplies, and until supplies shall be
so provided for any militia called into actual service, the officer
commanding them shall have full power and authority to pro-
cure, transfer and issue necessary supplies to the corps under
his command; and whenever calls are made upon the militia
by the Governor, such calls shall be made upon such command-
ing officer in any division as the Governor shall select.

97. If it shall be deemed necessary by the Governor to make
in any year a second draught of militia to serve a tour of
duty, such draught shall be ordered by the Governor and be
made by the proper officers as soon after the same shall be so
ordered as may be practicable, observing the same rules and
subject to all the obligations and penalties imposed by this
article as well upon privates as upon officers and non-commis-
sioned officers for neglect of duty; but such second draught
may be dispensed with in any county or in the city of Bal-
timore in the ratio that uniform militia corps shall volunteer
to perform such tour of duty and their offer may be accepted
by the Governor.

98. The militia in Allegany county may all be trained as
riflemen, and shall be called out only in company meetings one
day in each year in the month of September; the militia on
Kent and Assetauge Islands, and those on Hooper's Straits, and
those in Somerset county who reside in the district within which
William Waller's company was formed, and those living near to,
but westwardly from Hancock in Washington county, shall be
required to meet only in companies for inspection and drill on
the days aforesaid, but the said militia shall in other respects be
subject to the provisions of this article.

99. In case of invasion, insurrection, or threatened invasion,
insurrection or opposition to the laws within this State, any
