This Commission was appointed at the request of the Executive
Committee of the American Flying Club of Baltimore. The Commis-
sion is requested to study modern aviation conditions and recommend
legislation to safeguard and promote aviation in Maryland The Gen-
eral Assembly of 1922 passed a joint resolution legalizing the Commission.

April 24, 1920, by authorization of Chapter 92, Acts of 1920, to com-
plete the work begun by the Maryland Council of Defense in the col-

land in the service of the United States in the World War in tne
Military, Naval and Marine forces, or who otherwise rendered con-
spicuous public service during the period of the recent war.
