The Secretary is charged with the .duty of informing himself fully
as to the conditions of the institutions coming under the supervision
of the Board, and he is, during the session of the Legislature, subject
to the orders of the Finance Committee of the Senate and the Ways and
Means Committee of the House of Delegates.

Governor appoints six; two for two years, two for four years, and
two for six years, from the first Monday in May, 1906. Thereafter,
two bi-ennially for six years. Under Ch. 328, 1908, Governor appoints
one additional. Governor, Comptroller and Treasurer are ex-officio
members of this Board.*

The above Board also governs the following tubercular institutions:

Dr. T. Ruffin Pratt, [superintendent.

Chapter 129 of the Acts of 1927 abolished the Eastern Shore Tu-
berculosis Sanitorium Commission, transferring its powers, etc. to the
above Board.

MOUNT WILSON BRANCH

COLORED BRANCH
