STATUTES.

    CHAP. 2.  An act for the general quiet of the
subjects against all pretences of concealment
whatever.
    CHAP. 3.  Monopolies.
    CHAP. 5.  An act that sheriffs, their heirs, executors
and administrators, having a quietus est
shall be absolutely discharged of their accounts.
    CHAP. 7.  Ale-houses.
    CHAP. 14.  An act to admit the subject to plead
the general issue in informations of intrusions on
the behalf of the king's majesty, and retain his
possession till trial.
    CHAP. 17.  An act against usury.
    CHAP. 18.  Drapery.
    CHAP. 19.  Bankrupts.
    CHAP. 20.  Swearing.
    CHAP. 21.  Inn holders.
    CHAP. 22.  Butter and cheese.
    CHAP. 25.  Conditions.
    CHAP. 26.  An act against such as shall levy
any fine, suffer any recovery, acknowledge any
statute, recognizance, bail or judgment, in the
name of any other person or persons not being
privy and consenting thereto.

    CHAP. 28.  Apprentices, &c.
    CHAP. 31.  Cutlers.
    CHAP. 32.  Rivers.

    CHAP. 17.  See the note on 37 Hen. 8, Ch. 5.






    CHAP. 26.  Although this statute may appear
to have been applicable to the people, considering
the number of recoveries, fines, &c. I do not find
any case of a prosecution under it; and, as the
benefit of clergy was taken away, it cannot be
said to have extended otherwise.
