16.--In the case of Pancoast and Addison, October
1802, which I have been informed of by the
clerk of the court of appeals, the following decision
was made:--" The court are of opinion that
the lessor of the plaintiff is within the saving of
the statute of 21 James 1, Ch. 16; and that the
statute of the 32 Hen. 8, Ch. 2, S. 2, does not extend
to the state of Maryland--the court not
knowing of any judicial decision, by which the
same has been adopted and introduced into this
state as the law thereof.
