 liable to be perpetrated in this country as well
as in England.  But I have not been able to discover
any instance of a prosecution under these
statutes, either in the province or in the state, and
the most certain conclusion seems to be, that they
were not in force therein.  There were some cases
of prosecutions under the statute 4 and 5 Ph.
and M. Ch. 8, for what is termed an inferiour degree
of the same kind of offence.  See the note
under that statute.
