NOTES.
CHAP. 22. The only part of this statute material
to be considered, is the 13th section, by which
mutual debts were to be set off one against the
other; but this section is considered not to have
extended to the province, inasmuch as our act of
assembly respecting discounts was passed the
same year, 1729, Ch. 20.
The practice at present is under the act of 1785,
