right to refuse to give to the consignor an account of sales,
.and pay all moneys due the consignor on or before the expi-
ration of thirty-three days.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Bond, of Calvert, submitted the following amend-
ment :

Add at end of sub-section 208, the words, and shall deposit-
the balance due such owner or consignor, after deducting
from the proceeds of such sale all sums due such commission
merchant or agent, on open account or notes then due, by
said consignor or owner, in some incorporated bank or else-
where, as may be directed by said owner or consignor.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Rose submitted the following amendment:

Sub-section 8, insert after the word "sale," the words and
the amount of money resulting from such sale after de-
ducting all legal charges.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Montague submitted the following amendment:

And be it enacted, That as this Act is conceived in sin and
born in inquity, therefore, he it enacted, That none of the
aforegoing sections are of legal effect, and this Act shall never
go into operation.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Mullin submitted the following amendment:

Add at the end of section 209 the words, all provisions
of the Constitution prohibiting imprisonment for debt are
hereby repealed.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Bond, of Calvert, submitted the following amend-
ment :

Section 209, line 5, after the word "produced," insert the
words, or shall refuse to deposit in bank, when ordered so to

do.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Biddison moved that the House do now take a recess
until 8 o'clock P. M.

Decided in the negative.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, moved to strike out the en-
acting clause of the hill.
