Mr. Dutrow, from the Committee on Manufactures, re-
ported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to require persons bringing into
Frederick county, for the purpose of selling or pedaling the
same, any carriage, buggy, gig, sulky, pheaton or buggy-
wagon, or any reaper, mower or thrashing machine, grain-
rake, or grain-drill, to take out a license.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Latrobe, acting Chairman of the Committee on Ways
and Means, reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact sec-
tion 4, chapter 152, of an Act passed March 21, 1867,
entitled an Act to appropriate $100,000 for the relief of the
destitute people in the States wasted by civil war.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Brown, Chairman of the Committee on Inspections,
submitted the following

REPORT:

The Committee on Inspections to whom were referred the
Majority and Minority Reports upon the matter of leasing
the Tobacco Warehouses of the city of Baltimore, beg leave
to report that they have duly considered the subject referred
to them, and invited all the members of the House of Del-
egates who were interested in the growth of tobacco in this
State, to meet said Committee in order to elicit all the infor-
mation upon the question, and after the most mature consid-
eration given to all the views expressed by those present,
the Committee were divided, standing three for leasing and
four against, the leasing, and instruct their Chairman so to
report.
