The House took up for consideration the bill entitled an
Act to repeal sections 1, 37, 38, 39, 40 and 2, of chapter
252 of the Laws of Maryland, passed January session,
1867, entitled an Act to repeal the 37th, 38th, 39th and
40th sections of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Licenses," and substitute in lieu thereof the following sec-
tions.
Said bill being upon a third reading,
Mr. Legg (by unanimous consent,) submitted the follow-
ing amendment:
Add at the end of section 40, and any and all informers
shall be compelled to appear and prosecute any and all vio-
lations of this Article, or shall be subject to a fine or im-
prisonment, or both, in the discietion of the Court.
