The Senate hill entitled an Act to incorporate the Fair-
mount Academy, in District No. 1, Somerset county.

Being upon a third reading,

Upon motion of Mr. Slingluff,

The enacting clause was stricken out.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to Samuel Red-
graves, of Anne Arundel county, Maryland, a certain sum of
money erroneously paid into the State Treasury on account
of State taxes,

Was read a third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :

an Act to amend the Act of 1860, chapter 303, entitled an
Act to carry into effect the 8th section of the Act entitled an
Act for the promotion of Internal Improvements, passed at
January session, 1835, chapter 395, by applying the unap-
propriated part of the appropriation made by said Act for
the purposes of Internal Improvements in Worcester county,
to the construction of the Worcester Rail Road and the
Wicomico and Pocomoke Rail Road,

Was read a third time and rejected (for want of a consti-
tutional majority) by yeas and nays as follows :
