The bill was then sent to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Fooks,
(The rules being suspended)

Leave was granted to the Wicomico delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to appoint certain persons therein
named as commissioners to purchase a site and contract for
the erection of a Court House and Jail in the town of Salis-
bury, the county seat of Wicomico county, and for other pur-
poses therein mentioned.

Mr. Fooks, Chairman of a select committee, (the rules
being suspended) reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to appoint certain persons therein

Mr. Chaisty, Chairman of the Committee on Federal Rela-

The Joint Resolutions in relation to the promotion of the
domestic trade in guano.

Which were read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Touchstone, from the Committee on Education,
(the rules being suspended.) reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to restore to the West Nottingham
Academy, in Cecil county, the annual donation of five hun-
dred dollars out of the School Fund of said county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Slingluff, Chairman of the Committee on Internal Im-
provements, (the rules being suspended.) reported favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal a part of the 1st,
section of an Act entitled an Act to carry into effect the 8th
section of the Act entitled an Act for the promotion of Inter-
nal Improvements, passed at December session, 1835, chapter
395, passed at January session 1860, chapter 303..
