Hagerstown as the President of the Board of
Trustees for the time being shall appoint, of
which time and place of election he shall give one
month's notice, in one newspaper published in
Hagerstown, and such seven Trustees, elected at
the time and in the manner above directed, and
their successors, annually so elected, shall have all
the powers, perform all the duties, and enjoy all
the rights and immunities which were given and
granted by the original Act of incorporation,
passed at December session, 1810, Chapter 55, and
the several Supplements thereto.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Trus-
tees hereafter to be elected as aforesaid, and their
successors, shall have full power to sell such part
or all of the real estate now held by the Hagers-
town Academy as they or a majority of the board
may deem expedient, and they are hereby author-
ized to make to the purchaser or purchasers a deed
or deeds of conveyance for the same, and to apply
the proceeds of such sale or sales towards the pur-
chase of a suitable lot of ground and the erection
of suitable school buildings thereon for academical
purposes, and generally to do and perform all such
acts and things as they may deem proper and ne-
cessary to carry into effect the provisions aforesaid.

Creek, Virginia.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Samuel M. Haller, T. B. Davis,
Nimrod Allkire, Thomas Carskaden, Roland S.
Dayton and Aquilla B. McCarty, be and they are
hereby constituted and appointed Commissioners,
