cents ; for each two-wheel vehicle drawn by four
horses, oxen or mules, the suifc of two dollars and
twenty-five cents ; for each four-wheel vehicle
drawn by two horses, oxen or mules, the sum of
two dollars ; for each four-wheel vehicle drawn by
four horses, oxen or mules, the sum of two dollars
and fifty cents ; for each two-wheel vehicle drawn
by one horse, oxen or mule, seventy-five cents ; for
each horse or mule and rider, thirty-five cents ;
for each horse or mule, twenty-five cents ; for each
head of horned cattle, fifteen cents ; for each sheep
or hog, ten cents ; for each foot passenger, fifteen
cents ; and for all other articles a sum not exceed-
ing five per cent, of their value, and it shall be
the duty of said Company to post in a conspicuous
place at its wharves and on its boats a printed
schedule of its charges not exceeding the rates
aforesaid.

 

Sec. 6. And be it further enacted, That until the
regular appointment of Treasurer by the Directors,
Littleton Green is hereby authorized to receive and
receipt for all monies that may be paid in under
the provisions of this Act.

Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That the stock
of said Company shall be deemed personal estate,
and that all the property, estate and joint stock of
the Company shall be answerable for its debts and
liabilities.

Sec, 8. And be it further enacted, That in case
any of the Commissioners aforesaid shall die, re-
sign or decline to serve, the remaining members
are hereby authorized and empowered to fill the
vacancy.

Sec. 9. And be it further enacted, That nothing
in this Act contained shall be construed as grant-
ing banking privileges to said Company.

Sec. 10. And be it further enacted, That this Act
shall take effect from the date of its passage, and
the right to amend, alter or annul this Act is
hereby reserved to the General Assembly.
