Funerals.
|
Sec. 10. And be it enacted. That this Company
shall not be authorized to charge tolls on any ve-
hicle or horse passing over this road for the pur-
pose of going to or from a funeral.

Banking pro-
hibited.
|
Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That nothing con-
tained in this Act shall be so construed as to con-
fer any banking privileges on the corporation
hereby created.
|
In force and
reservation.
|
Sec. 12. And be it enacted. That the Legisla-
ture hereby reserves the right to alter, amend or
repeal this charter at their pleasure, and that this
Act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 454.
AN ACT to aid in construction of works of In-
ternal Improvements in St. Mary's, Charles and
Calvert Counties.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, By Section thirty-four of the third
Article of the Constitution, authority is given to
extend the aid of the State in behalf of the con-
struction of works of Internal Improvements in
the Counties of St. Mary's, Charles and Calvert,
which said counties have heretofore received no
direct benefit from works heretofore aided by the
State ; and whereas it is deemed right and proper
that such appropriation should be now made ;
therefore,

Appropria-
tion.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of five hundred thou-
sand dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated
and set apart for the construction of works of In-
ternal Improvements in the said counties, to be
distributed to the said counties respectively as fol-
lows : to Charles County, the sum of one hundred
and Seventy-five thousand dollars ; to St. Mary's
County, the sum of one hundred and seventy-three
