CHAPTER 440.

AN ACT to repeal, amend and re-enact sub-
Section first of ap Act passed January
....., eighteen hundred and sixty-five, en-
titled "An Act to add an Article to the
Code of Public General Laws in relation to
the publication of laws, so as to provide for the
publication of the same in the German language
in Baltimore city.

Repealed and
re-enacted.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That sub-Section first of an Act
passed January, eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
entitled " An Act to add an Article to the Code of
Public General Laws in relation to the publication
of laws, be and the same is hereby repealed,
amended and re-enacted so to read as follows :

Laws to be
published.

Sec. 1. Every Public General Law which is
made to take effect before the first day of June
next after the session at which it may be passed,
shall immediately after its passage be published, at
the expense of the State, daily for one week iu two
daily newspapers of the city of Baltimore, one of
which shall be printed in the German language,
and one newspaper in each county having the
largest circulation, if there be a newspaper pub-
lished in said county.
