Mr. Iglehart presented a

Petition of 48 teachers of Anne Arundel county, praying
the continuance of the present school system until July 15
1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Slingluff presented the

Petition of William E. Hooper and 98 other citizens of
Baltimore county, praying the passage of an Act to continue
the present school system in force till July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Slingluff presented the

Petition of John G. Mellville, and 25 other citizens of
Baltimore county, praying the passage of an Act to continue
the present school system in force till July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Horsey presented the

Petition of John S. Sudler, and 189 other citizens of
Somerset county, praying the passage of an Act to continue
the present school system in force till July 15th, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Mitchell presented the

Petition of Thomas R. Halley and others, praying the
enactment of a law regulating the title to church property in
this State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Smith, of Worcester, presented the

Petition of John T. B. McMaster, and 72 others, of New
Town, Worcester county, praying that the Act of incorpora-
tion of New Town be not repealed.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Smith, of Wor-
cester, Hollo way and Horsey.

Mr. Loker submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Hon. J. E. Coad be granted leave of
absence until Tuesday, the 18th instant.

Which was adopted.
