Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Howard County be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to designate places
of holding elections within the first and sixth Dis-
tricts of said county, and they are hereby requested
to give public notice of the places so selected, for
at least three weeks prior to the holding of any
election in said county.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all Acts or por-
tions of Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act,
be and the same are hereby repealed.

take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 389.
A FURTHER SUPPLEMENT to an Act entitled
an Act to incorporate Companies to make sever-
al Turnpike Roads through Baltimore County,
and for other purposes, passed at the November
Session, 1804.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Frederick Turnpike Com-
pany be and they are hereby authorized and em-
powered to charge as tolls on the portion of their
road located in Baltimore County, authorized to be
made tinder the Act of November Session, 1804,
one and one-half cents per mile and no more, for
the distance or distances actually traveled ; pro-
vided, however, in charging for portions of miles
they shall not take into consideration anything
less than a half of a mile ; provided, however, that
said Turnpike Company shall not charge any tolls
on any vehicles going to or returning from fune-
rals.
